AATIP & the Pentagon UAP Disclosure

The footage the U.S. Navy filmed — and the Pentagon confirmed is real.

Year
2007 – present
Location
U.S. Navy operational airspace
Agency
Department of Defense / ODNI
Credibility 5/5

For the first time, this isn't fringe. The Pentagon has officially released Navy gun-camera footage of objects with no visible means of propulsion, confirmed it as authentic, and opened a permanent office to investigate.

In December 2017, The New York Times revealed the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) — a quietly funded Pentagon effort to study Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. With it came something unprecedented: actual military footage, officially released, showing objects Navy pilots could not identify or explain.

The clips — nicknamed 'FLIR,' 'Gimbal,' and 'GoFast' — show craft accelerating, rotating, and holding position in ways that appear to defy known aerodynamics, with no wings, no exhaust, and no visible means of lift. In 2020 the Department of Defense took the extraordinary step of formally confirming the videos were genuine and unclassified.

In 2021 the ODNI delivered a landmark report to Congress: of 144 incidents reviewed, only one could be explained. In 2022 Congress held the first open UAP hearing in over fifty years, and the Pentagon stood up a permanent office (now AARO) to track the phenomenon. The conversation had moved, finally, from the tabloids to the Capitol.

Evidence on file
  • Pentagon-confirmed Navy footage: FLIR, Gimbal, GoFast
  • 2021 ODNI Preliminary Assessment: 143 of 144 cases unexplained
  • 2022 Congressional UAP hearings — the first since 1966
  • Establishment of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO)
ÆTHERION Verdict

Real footage. Real hearings. Real government office. Whatever these objects are, the United States has officially admitted it does not know — on the record.
