The Greys
Bulbous hairless cranium, smooth grey-taupe skin, vestigial nose and mouth, and the iconic oversized obsidian eyes that reflect no light.
No species has imprinted itself on the human imagination like the Greys. Recovered — allegedly — from the 1947 Roswell crash and catalogued by the U.S. military under the antiseptic acronym EBE (Extraterrestrial Biological Entity), they became the default mask of the unknown.
Abductee testimony across six continents is eerily consistent: paralysis, levitation, sterile curved rooms, and the eyes — always the eyes. Researchers describe the Greys as a worker caste: a manufactured biology optimised for a single function and stripped of everything else, including, perhaps, a soul of their own.
The prevailing theory among ufologists is tragic rather than malevolent. The Greys may be the survivors of a dying world who edited their own genome into a dead end, and now move through time and space collecting the raw material of a species — ours — still capable of creating life the old way.
